Sierra Leonean born Dutch sprinter Solomon Bockarie started his 2017 Track season with some blazing fast time; clocking the 100 meters at 10.15 seconds and the 200 and 20.21 seconds against a very elite field of internationals that included the likes of British sprinter Harry Aikines-Aryeetey and China’s Su Bingtian on Saturday April 15th at the NTC/PURE Athletics Spring Invitational in Clermont Florida.
The only negating factor in the race in Clermont, Florida was the heavy wind readings which placed a damper on the spectacular performances of Bockarie and the other runners. After the race Bockarie expressed that: “I expected more but my body was a bit down and I felt sick before the race”. He further expressed that he was disappointed with the wind readings but that he was now turning his attention to his training for future races.
