CAIRO (FIBA Africa Champions Cup 2016) - The draw for the FIBA Africa Champions Cup 2016 took place on Tuesday night at Pyramisa in the Egyptian capital city of Cairo.
The tournament will run from 7-16 December and the twelve participating teams have been divided in two groups of six each.
Group A: 1. Hosts Ah Ahly Sporting Club (EGY); 2. Primeiro D’Agosto (ANG); 3. Club Africain (TUN) 4.Nzui Manto (CMR), 5.Kano Pillars (NGR), and 6. AD Bairro (CPV)
Group B: 1. CRD Libolo, 2. AS Sale (MAR), 3.City Oilers (UGA), 4.Customs (NGR), 5.BEAC (CMR), and 6. GSP (ALG)
The Preliminary Phase of the tournament will be played in a round robin format with each team taking over its five opponents respectively.
The top four teams from each group will advance to the Final Phase played in a knockout format from the Quarter-Finals onwards (Semi-Finals and Final).
The 3rd Place Game and the Final will be played on the last day of the tournament (16December).
