Nigeria’s Divine Oduduru was on a tear over the weekend at the Michael Johnson Invitational in Waco Texas where he set new marks for himself ,with new personal bests times of 9.94 seconds in the 100 meters and 19.76 seconds in the 200 meters, demolishing the old Record for Nigeria of 19.84 seconds set by Francis Obikwelu in 1999 at the World Athletics Championship.
Divine is now the new global face of Nigeria’s Men’s Sprinting, joining her mentor Blessing Okagbare who has all but single handedly carried Nigeria’s fortunes in Track and Field for a decade.
