Kamara who started the event at exactly 11:28:00 (Australian time) with race number 17 was only able to race on an out-and-back course around the Currumbin beachfront through the Tallebudgera and the Currumbin Valley over the 38-kilometre course to finish with a time of 1 hour 9 minutes 14.94 sec.
Moving on to the 33.9Km with a speed of 33.885, Kamara clocked 29 minutes 15.11 seconds from the finish line before registering 7 minutes 42.83 seconds in the final 38.5Km with a speed of 35.780 as he finished before Anthony Colebrook of Bahamas and Jeff Esparon of Seychelles respectively.

Meanwhile, Australia's world champion track cyclist Cameron Meyer ride away with the Games gold on the road. Meyer, who also has a Tour Down Under crown to his name and stage wins in the Tour de France and Giro d'Italia, clocked a time of 48 minutes and 13.04 seconds.
