
A total of a 50-man delegation comprising of eight sporting disciplines, officials of both the NOC and Sports Council will departed the country’s shores on Tuesday for Scotland a week and a half before the commencement of the Games.
Addressing the delegation, President Koroma encouraged the athletes to make the nation proud and advised them to desist from ‘running away’ after the Games and advised them to compete well.
The Sports Minister, Hon. Paul Kamara who will also be part of the delegation applauded the President for separating the Sports Ministry from that of the youth Ministry. He promised the athletes will do their best at the Games adding that the selection was the best made by the respective disciplines.
