The BCL social media channels have already gathered 140,000 fans and generated above 2.5 million video views in only four weeks of competition. This partnership will help the BCL to further promote and share content to teams and star players directly. This content will serve as a major promotion platform for Basketball Champions League’s broadcast partners who will see their brand featured in all clips distributed to teams and players.
Patrick Comninos, CEO of the BCL said: "It is with great pleasure that we launch our collaboration with WSC Sports Technologies for the Basketball Champions League. Our aim is to provide fans with customised content at a scale never seen before in similar European competitions.
"As BCL fans’ demand for video on digital and social platforms continues to grow, WSC’s technology will give us the tools to meet that demand and bring our competition to the highest level of an ever-growing digital offer."
"We also hope that this unlimited, high quality inventory of digital content will ultimately drive more fans to watch our games on TV. The WSC technology is ground breaking, innovative and so is the Basketball Champions League."
Daniel Shichman, CEO and co-founder of WSC Sports said: "We are proud to partner with the BCL to provide European and global fans customised content to follow their teams and players of this unique basketball competition.
“The BCL has a great growth potential and our technology will help scale content distribution and exposure while tailoring videos to fan’s appetite."
