Okrah gave Nabil Al Kouki’s side the lead on the quarter-hour mark with a shot at the edge of the penalty area which beat Port Louis goalie Louis Yannick Macoa from a Samawal Merghani assist.
Port-Louis barely threatened the homers leaving Cameroon-born goalie Maxime Loïc Feudjou on a virtual holiday.
Just before the break, Bashir made it 2-0 before putting the icing on the cake with the third goal five minutes after the break.
Things turned worse for Port Louis after Emmanuel Rudy was sent off three minutes from time following a dangerous tackle on Hilal’s Nigerian born Aziz Shobola.
The result served a perfect start for Hilal’s new coach Kouki, who was appointed only last week.
Nabil Al Kouki (Head Coach, El Hilal)
We didn't show a great performance. The victory is thanks to Assistant Coach, Al Deeba, and the players who started the work before my arrival.
Sakoor Buhdan (Head Coach, Port Louis)
I built my strategy on a defence vision, but the first goal killed us. We have a week to prepare for the second leg. It is a bad result but we will still fight for our chance.
