Israeli born Grant who has named a side to face Egypt including two new faces, Portugal-based midfielder Alhassan Wakaso and defender Andy Yiadom of English Championship side Barnsley in his squad against Egypt in Alexandria says he is focused on qualifying for the World Cup in Russia.
“One of the reason that I came here is to understand why from this talent, the achievement is not the same like the talent,” the Israeli told Starr Sports.
“Our target is to do a lot of good things to be on top of the World. I was in the qualification to the World Cup with Israel, even we were a small team, we miss it only with two goals even when we had France, Switzerland and Ireland.”
He added: “Now it’s in Africa and I am in Ghana and that is what I want.”
Ghana will be chasing their first win in Group E of the qualifiers after drawing against Uganda last month.
