VILLEURBANNE (Basketball Champions League) - ASVEL's backcourt of Walter Hodge and DeMarcus Nelson proved their status amongst the best in the Basketball Champions League with an 83-69 win over Muratbey Usak Sportif on Wednesday night.
ASVEL were unable to fully shake off Usak, who were within single digits in the final minutes.
"It wasn't a really close game, I think we made it close,"said ASVEL Head Coach JD Jackson.
"We turned the ball over a number of times unnecessarily, but we were hitting our shots against a match up zone and that's the most important thing so we're happy with that win.
Zach Auguste finished with a 16 point, 13 rebound double double for Usak, who dropped to 2-5 in seventh place in Group C.
