The FK Baku midfielder, Ibrahim ‘Obreh’ Kargbo continues to deny the said allegation which was said to have occurred during the 2009/2010 league season saying that he always had a clean slate and did his best for the club.
However, Brugel who was Kargbo’s Team Manager by then (during the 2009/2010 league season) always knew the player as a 'tough guy' who always gave 100 percent for the team.
He added: “He was very social with a heart for the club, his team and his family. During his spell with us he conducted several charity matches for the people of Sierra Leone for whom Ibrahim felt responsible. I cannot remember him been tricky or sneaky, there were sometimes problems, but those were football technical issue and he could sometimes be a man that suddenly let go.”
The former Sierra Leone national team skipper who during his spell in Holland won the Football for Peace award- because of his contribution toward the disadvantaged people in Sierra Leone said: “I just want to say it never happened in my entire career, I have the same problem in Sierra Leone. It is never true. I've always had a clean slate and did my best."
