As the national team training continue to intensify following the arrival of the invited foreign-based players, the Minister of Sports, Ahmed Khanou on Wednesday gave the players words of motivation and encouragement.
Spotted in blue Adidas outfit, the Minister had a pep talk with the players and the technical team after Wednesday’s evening training session at the Siaka Steven Stadium in Freetown.
With a full house, the team had a fun filed training session as the technical team paid keen attention to players mobility, pace, strength and positioning.
In related development, popular businessman and philanthropist, Alfread Badara Turay aka ‘Agba Badara’ donated over 12 dozen crates of water toward the team’s training towards the build up ahead of Saturday’s match.
Making the presentation on ‘Agba Badara’s’ behalf, former captain of Sierra Leone national female team, Sierra Queens, Musu Pele Conteh said the gesture was one of the philanthropist’s way of boosting the players morale ahead of the Kenya match.
She said the well-known Agba Badara will continue to support the team as and when necessary adding that he is ready to give full support whenever it is need.
Receiving the donated items, the Leone Stars team Manager; Christian Dauda thanked Musu and Agba Badara for such a kind gesture adding that the message will reach the players.
