Egypt and Mali played out a barren draw in their Group A clash on Sunday at the National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.
Both teams exhibited some good football display on a soggy pitch but it was Egyptian goalie Mohamed Ghandour, who was the hero for his side, standing between the Malians and goal. The result leaves hosts Zambia at the top of the standings after beating Guinea 1-0 earlier in the tournament opener at the same venue. Zambia has three points, Egypt and Mali in that order with a point each and Guinea in that order pointless.

We have the blessings of the senior team and we hope to get good results. In my team, you can find some of the best U-20 players you can imagine. They are players with a different philosophy compared to other teams. We have worked very hard and we will show what we have on the pitch.
