The company plans to stream action from the US-based AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour in all markets excluding China via its Amazon Prime Video service.
It will also stream the men’s and women’s finals to viewers outside America, one final match per event to Prime members within the US, and other on-demand content such as completed matches and highlights.
Coverage will be available in more than 200 countries and on more than 600 devices, including TVs, game consoles, set top boxes and Amazon Fire TV, through the Prime Video app.

“As the media landscape continues to expand towards the digital space, the AVP is proud to join forces with Amazon in offering sports fans the opportunity to watch the best in beach volleyball throughout the season.”
While financial terms have not been released, the AVP deal complements the other sports programming Amazon has acquired this year, including the rights to National Football League (NFL) Thursday night games and ATP World Tour tennis.
