Alvaro de Arriba (ESP) – 1st place
"I feel confident heading into the final, now it's all about mental preparation and I'm optimistic about my chances.
"It's not typical to have snow in Spain but the area I am from we do get it. I haven't had to worry about it because I've been in the arena."
Elliot Giles (GBR) – 2nd place
"It's great to get a PB but I almost got caught out at the end. Ninety per cent of the race was good but the last 10 per cent wasn't – so mostly good but something to work on.
"Being at home for me and hearing the Birmingham accent around the arena is comforting. I live in the south now so being around my own kind is hugely inspiring."
Adam Kszczot (POL) – 1st place
"It was a tactical race – slow from the beginning but I found the right moment to attack. When you think that this race was a race at a world championships, it was easy.
"I want this gold medal so badly. I hope I will stay smart in the final and we will see."
