The event which took place at the Nungua Traditional Council over the weekend saw Aasha Game coming out of tough pairings and building full of confidence to bye past popular clubs and finally win against Flying Eagles of La. The final score was 1000 – 970 in favor Aasha Game. Britannica from Nungua were third.
The clubs that participated include Holy God, Camp2, Mandela, Oonaa, Britanica, Argentina, Peaceful, Temple and Flying Eagles.
Others are Parliament, Wantu Wanzuri, Scorpions, Cash Money, Abrubru Kosua and Camara Youth
Mrs, Linda Nartey, Brands Manager of Miksi who was overwhelmed by the crowd that gathered to watch the competition commended the spectators and fans of clubs who stood with the clubs in the two day event.
Saka Acquah, Deputy Ditrector General of the National Sports Authority (NSA) who witnessed the whole programme hailed the organisers and the media for the publicity and attraction of the game in Nungua area.
He said in future, winners may travel outside to compete internationally and congratulated the crowd for their comportment and discipline.
Steve Bortie aka DJ Lalo, CEO of Media 2 Concepts, the event organisers said the programme had been successful due to the support of the people who ensured that there was no trouble. He advised that Ghanaians should cherish peace and love one another to foster unity.
Theo Armah, PRO of Media 2 Concepts also promised that the event would be bigger next season as the sponsors have seen the enthusiasm and passion of Ghanaians in Playing Cards.
