
Sierra Leone will play the return leg tie of their youth U-23 Olympic qualification against Cameroon in Yaoundé after the Cameroonian football authorities, accepted a request made by the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA).
The two nations will battle it out in the second round of the 2016 Rio games qualifiers. The Cameroonians will host the first leg on May 24 whilst the return leg has been schedule for the weekend of May 29-31, 2015.
“We have agreed to play both games in Yaoundé and the team leaves for Yaoundé next week,” Sorie Ibrahim Sesay confirmed.
Meanwhile, the winner between Sierra Leone and Cameroon will take on Algeria in the third round.
The tournament finals will take place from 28th November – 12 December 2015 in Senegal after the withdrawal of DR Congo as host and according to the African football governing body, CAF, eight teams are expected to qualify for the finals in Senegal with the top three to represent Africa in the Olympic Games in Rio 2016.
