The Sierra Leone Volleyball Association (SLVA) this week continued their preparations and training session ahead of the All African Games (AAG) continental Cup Round 2 qualifiers and the FIVB 2016 Junior World Championships.
Training is presently underway at the Aberdeen Beach volleyball court with a total of 18 male and female beach Volleyball athletes participating.
“The competition is tough for a place in the next round of the AAG because we are only expecting two players in both genders to make the final cut to represent the country,” Khanou said about taking part in preparations for the AAG, Continental Cup Round 2, FIVB 2016 Junior World Championships and others.
Sierra Leone qualified to round 2 of the AAG qualifiers in April this year after putting up excellent performance to scoop gold medal and finishing in first position ahead of The Gambia, the tournament host Senegal and Guinea Conakry.
