Telkom last 16 draw

Telkom Knockout holders SuperSport United will meet Polokwane City, Kaizer Chiefs will face Platinum Stars, while Orlando Pirates will tackle University of Pretoria in the last-16 of the event.

The Premier Soccer League decided the match-ups via a seeded draw at the Wanderers Club in Johannesburg on Monday.

PSL chief executive Brand de Villiers said: “In line with this year’s theme of the Telkom Knockout of igniting rivalry amongst the supporters of different clubs, we are hoping to see fans coming in numbers to support their clubs.

In our country, football remains the best vehicle for the corporate world to spread their message and, we would like to thank Telkom for showing faith in investing in domestic football.

“Last year, the PSL generated about two billion worth of coverage, and from that Telkom enjoyed a very good share. We wish all the 16 clubs good luck.”
