Sudan has run a coaching course for beach volleyball coaches
Khartoum, Sudan, December 8, 2015 – Sudan’s beach volleyball coaches were given the chance to improve their skills after their federation hosted a two-week beach volleyball coaching course at the Khartoum Volleyball Development Centre.
It is the fourth coaching course organised by the FIVB and Sudan Volleyball Federation in 2015 and the first Beach Volleyball Level 1 coaching course to be held in English in Africa.
FIVB coaching instructor Johann Huber led the course which featured 16 candidates, five of whom were female.

It is the fourth coaching course organised by the FIVB and Sudan Volleyball Federation in 2015 and the first Beach Volleyball Level 1 coaching course to be held in English in Africa.

There was an international flavour to the event with four foreign candidates taking place, with two from Kenya, one from Ethiopia and one from Zimbabwe. It has led to all the countries involved working to establish regional co-operation notably tournament and further course for managers, referees and coaches at the Khartoum Development Centre.
Sudan already runs a national beach volleyball tour that features four venues and the aim now is to develop a similar tour for youth players.
