
Sierra Leone Volleyball Association (SLVA) on Tuesday through the National Olympic Committee of Sierra Leone (NOCSLE) received a US$ 20,000 Olympic Solidarity Team Support Grant from the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
At the presentation ceremony, President of NOC-SL, Dr. Patrick Coker emphasized on the need of what he describe as the three Cs -Collaboration, Cooperation and Consistency. He also briefed the SLVA executive to exploit other avenues like the Chinese Embassy and Samsung international company.
President of SLVA, Christopher John tendered his appreciation and expressed the hope of a judicious use of the funds and to make timely report on it’s use.
He said: “Its bravo to the NOC-SL as well for the support to our efforts and the IOC for recognizing SLVA's aspirations.”
The total approved subvention/grant is US$ 20,000 which is split over a two year period ( 2015, 2016 activities.)
