
Nigeria based University of Nigeria Nsukka in collaboration with the Nigeria University Games Association will be hosting the Games later this month and at least 50 universities from 14 countries are expected to converge on Nsukka, Enugu State this October.
The Vice-Chancellor of the University Of Nigeria (UNN), Prof. Benjamin Ozumba told journalist in Nigeria: “The Games had succeeded in breaking barriers in the sub-region, adding that the passion and emotion that sports elicit, serves as an effective advantage on the orientation of the youth’.
Prof. Ozumba further revealed that the university was good to go in terms of the state of the facilities.
Some of the countries expected to participate who have previously served as hosts include; Ghana, Sierra Leone, Cote d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso and Benin Republic.
