
The Sierra Leone national women's cricket team maintains their 100% unbeaten run in the ongoing maiden edition of the North West Africa Cricket Conference (NWACC) Women's T20 tournament in Banjul, The Gambia.
The Sierra Leonean ladies secured their fourth win in the tournament on Monday as they again defeated their Ghanaian opponents at the July 22nd Square Cricket ground.
The other matches earlier in the tournament also went in favour of Sierra Leone defeating host nation Gambia and Mali at the MRC cricket ground on match day two (2). Victory in all four matches now leaves Sierra Leone at the top of the log with 8 points with two matches to go.
The maiden edition of the NWACC Women's T20 tournament is designed on a round robin home and away format with four teams; Ghana, Sierra Leone, Mali and host nation Gambia all competing.
Each side will be playing six matches in total and the team that finishes with the highest points will be crowned champions. Should two team finishe with equal points, the team with the highest NETT RUN RATE will be crowned champions.
