Sierra Leone male and female team qualified to the third round of the CAVB Continental Cup – a qualification tournament for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.
Sierra Leone, Tunisia, Morocco and Nigeria all battled for the three qualification spot in the male category whilst in the female classification; it was three teams battle, Sierra Leone, Morocco and Nigeria.
In the men’s tournament, Sierra Leone finished in third position defeating Nigeria by 3-1 to scoop the bronze medal whilst Tunisia finished at the top followed by tournament host Morocco who secured the silver medal.

In the women’s tournament, the three nations; Morocco, Nigeria and Sierra Leone all booked their place to the next round of the qualification with the tournament host securing the gold medal followed by Nigeria with silver and Sierra Leone with bronze.
