“Our approach to mobile content is a representation of our league and fans,” said Chris Schlosser, Senior Vice President & General Manager, MLS Digital. “MLS has the youngest and most tech-savvy fans in all of professional sports. These fans expect a best-in-class mobile experience and we are very excited about the advancements in the 2016 mobile application.”
The 2016 MLS mobile app release helps kick off March to Soccer, MLS’ annual campaign leading into the first matches of the regular season. All week, MLS, its clubs and partners will help celebrate and build excitement for the 21st MLS season.
For MLS app users who also subscribe to MLS LIVE, MLS matches can be streamed directly on to a mobile device. MLS recently announced that MLS LIVE saw record growth through 2015, with a 60% increase in subscribers year-over-year. MLS LIVE subscriptions are available for $79.99 for the full 2016 season, or $15.99 per month. To subscribe to MLS LIVE, visit http://live.mlssoccer.com.
This year MLS is poised to curate more mobile, digital and social content than ever before, starting off with MLS Soccer Sunday: Week 1 LIVE, a digital “whip around” show that will bring fans closer to the action on March 6, and will air on MLSsoccer.com, WatchESPN and FOX Sports Go.
