The Pretoria side went down 1-0 in their second qualifying round, first-leg match away to AS Vita on 10 April, and now need to score at least twice (without conceding) at the Lucas Moripe Stadium if they are to be certain of going through to the next round.
The Kinshasa-based club, however, showed that they are a quality side in the first leg. They have some dangerous players up front, and will be harbouring their own ambitions, having made it to the final in 2014.
“They have an unbelievable attack. They come inside and they’ve got this Ghanaian [Bernard Morrison] and he gave us problems,” Mosimane was quoted as saying by the Sowetan.
“And they’ve got a number 9 who is big and strong, the one who scored at the end [Kule Mbombo]. He also gave us problems, but I believe that the attack we have is good enough to get two goals.
“Look at the [Uefa] Champions League – Real Madrid were losing 2-0 [against Wolfsburg] from the first leg and they [scored] three in the second leg.
“We learn from that. With the way we press, we suffocate people until they give in. You must give in with a goal otherwise we don’t stop coming,” said the former Bafana Bafana coach.
