The relegation battling Wanderers on Thursday January 14th announced they have mutually terminated the midfielder’s deal at the Macron Stadium.
Kamara who has made a total of 57 appearances scoring three goals for the Wanderers since joining them from FK Partizan on transfer deadline day in January 2013, did not played a single match for the championship strugglers in 16 months despite being one of the club's higher earners.
The 28-year-old was a first team regular under Dougie Freedman, playing as part of a two-man midfield anchor with former Liverpool man, Jay Spearing but since the appointment of Neil Lennon, the combative midfielder fell down the pecking order in the club with more time given to Darren Pratley and Neil Danns.
Kamara spent the latter part of last season on loan to Israeli side Maccabi Haifa and despite his return from loan, Wanderers were still struggling to find a place for him. The situation eventually resulted in the player publicly stating his desire to leave the club.
