
The left-footed midfielder recently penned a new three-year deal with Amakhosi, having rejected advances from Balikesirspor. According to a source, Lebese could have netted close to R5 million per season had he moved to the Süper Lig.
Lebese, however, insists he is pleased to have committed his future to the Absa Premiership and MTN8 champions.
“Kaizer Chiefs is a big club and I was offered a good three-year deal; I couldn’t turn it down,” Lebese told Chiefs' website. The 26-year-old added: “I am happy to be involved with Chiefs for three more years. Hopefully it will even be for longer.”
