Julius Yego of Kenya has slowly been inching his way into the upper echelons of his event; the Men’s Javelin throw and on Friday he sent a loud and clear message to his fellow competitors that this is an event he intends to own going into the IAAF World Track & Field Championships in Beijing and next year’s Olympic Games in Rio, Brazil as he came through with hefty throw of 87.71 meters to come in second after Czechoslovakia’s Vítězslav Vesely who had a throw of 88.14 meters.
Yego who became famous as the athlete who learnt to throw the javelin by watching You Tube Videos has slowly climbed his way from someone who was simply admired by people around the world for his diligence ingenuity and passion to seek to become a better athlete by using one of the modern tools of technology to become known into a legitimate threat of become a perennial world champion in the event.
