After being found guilty of fielding goalkeeper Thabo Modiba, Jomo Cosomos face more trouble, with Modiba’s former side demanding compensation.
Cosmos were found guilty of fielding the goalkeeper in a recent Premiership match against SuperSport United without an International Transfer Clearance by the Premier Soccer League in a Disciplinary hearing held last week.
Representatives from Modiba’s former side, Orlando Pirates FC of Namibia, attended the hearing as witnesses, claiming he was still under contract with the Windhoek-based side when he turned out for Cosmos.
“We came to South Africa as witnesses,” Akan told KickOff. “It was a matter involving the PSL and Safa. Our issue for compensation with Cosmos is still pending.
“I am sorry to hear that they are relegated. We are not demanding millions, but due compensation.”
