The International Cricket Council (ICC) today announced the appointment of Sunset + Vine as its Live Production Partner and Broadcast Solutions as OB Equipment Provider for all televised ICC Events, from 2016 to 2019.

The partnerships, which cover eight major tournaments including next year’s ICC World Twenty20 in India, the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 and six other men’s and women’s ICC tournaments will amount to 185 LIVE matches, produced for a global wide audience.

Each match will be distributed and broadcast by ICC’s Global Broadcast Partner, Star Sports, and its licencees, such as BSKYB (UK), OSN (Middle East & North Africa) and SuperSport (South Africa & sub-Saharan Africa).

The partnerships begin with ICC U19 Cricket World Cup (Bangladesh) in January 2016 followed by the ICC World Twenty20 (India); ICC Champions Trophy 2017 (England & Wales); ICC Women’s World Cup 2017 (England & Wales); ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2018 (New Zealand); ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2018 (Bangladesh); ICC Women’s World Twenty20 2018 (West Indies) and the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 (England & Wales).

Campbell Jamieson, General Manager – Commercial, International Cricket Council, said: “ICC has taken live production in house for the first time and are looking forward to a successful relationship with Sunset + Vine and Broadcast Solutions. ICC aims to provide innovative and compelling coverage of its events using first class broadcast technology to service its fans via Star Sports, ICC’s global broadcast partner, and its other media rights partners.

Jeff Foulser, Chairman of Sunset+Vine, commented: “It’s a real honour and privilege to be awarded this amazing contract. Cricket coverage has been in this company’s DNA since the late 1990’s when we introduced innovations like Hawk-Eye and the Snickometer to Channel 4’s coverage and we look forward to working closely with the ICC’s broadcast rights holders to deliver exciting and compelling coverage for their viewers around the world.”

Managing Director of Broadcast Solutions, Saeed Izadi, said: “Broadcast Solutions is extremely honored to be entrusted with the OB Equipment contract for ICC’s flagship events. Broadcast Solutions has a long history of supplying equipment for ICC events, having covered all major events since 2007 including two ICC Cricket World Cups. Our success in this tender is a testimony of our consistent delivery and quality in servicing these events over the years. Our team is very proud to be providing state-of-the-art equipment and technical support to deliver the very best OB services for our clients and we are looking forward to working directly with the ICC.”
