
The Court concluded that FIFA cannot be held responsible for football played throughout the United States and, as such, all claims relating to concussion and negligence against FIFA must be dismissed. The Court added that any future claims cannot call for changes to the Laws of the Game as only the IFAB in conjunction with FIFA is entitled to make such changes.
FIFA will continue its activities in relation to players’ health via its Medical Committee – such as the new head injury protocol introduced in September 2014 – and will continue to coordinate with other international sports federations.
