Rabat, Morocco, October 14, 2015 – The African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) organised a new national refereeing course as part of the framework of the CAVB Development Plan that aims to improve refereeing standards of each national federation in the region.
The course, which was instructed by Mr Mohamed Lazreug of Algeria, attracted 22 Moroccan referees, including three female referees from across the country.
“We had the best outcome from the course because of the discipline and motivation of the participants, as well as the good conditions provided by the organisers,” Lazreug said. “We had good standards here as 12 of the participating referees got more than a grade of 70 per cent. We had four theoretical sessions and four practical sessions that showed good interaction between the participants.”
