
Cairo, Egypt, November 11, 2015 - The African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) has selected Cameroon to host the Women's African Olympic Qualifiers in Yaoundé from February 12 to 19, 2016. A record 17 national federations will participate.
The competition winners will qualify for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. The 17 teams participating include: Algeria, Tunisia, Gambia, Cape Verde, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Ghana, Congo RDC, Cameroon, Gabon, Kenya, Egypt, Uganda, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Madagascar.
Algeria claimed the African qualification tickets to the last two Olympics in Beijing in 2008 and in London in 2012.
