
2015 All Africa Games- Women Day 10
Brazzaville, Congo, September 12, 2015- Cameroon maintained their unbeaten run at the end of the first round of the Women's competition at All Africa Games as they upset Nigeria 3-0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-20) in their last match at Henry Elende Hall in Brazzaville, Congo on Saturday. Cameroon led Pool B with 14 points.
Kenya v Cape Verde 3-0 (25-13, 25-14, 27-25)
Kenya battled Cape Verde 3-0 (25-13, 25-14, 27-25) in their last match at Pool B in 72 minutes. Kenya improved their win- loss ratio to 4-1 to finish second of Pool B as they already clinched semifinal ticket before the match. Nigeria dropped to 2-3 to finish 4th in the pool.
Edith Wisa led the Kenyan scorers with 12 points followed by Gaudencia Makokha 11, while Ednilsa Vera and Nilza Gonsalves led Cape Verde with 7 points.
Cameroon v Nigeria 3-0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-20)
Cameroon defeated Nigeria 3-0 (25-15, 25-19, 25-20) to continue their winning streak in Women's Pool B. Cameroon improved to 5-0 to lead the pool, while Nigeria dropped to 2-3 to finish fourth.
Cameroon Centre Stephanie Fotso led the scorers of the winners with 14 points, while Mercy Promise led the losers with 9 points.
Algeria v Mozambique 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-11)
Algeria pulled off third win 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-11) against fighting Mozambique. Algeria ended their campaign at the third position with 9 points, while Mozambique finished last with 0-5.
Safia Boukhima led Algerian scorers with 9 points, followed by Kahina Arbouche 7, while Moiane Jessica led the losers with 7 points.
