After suffering a health scare last week when she tweaked her knee at a scheduled Diamond League Track meet in Lausane, Switzerland Blessing Okagbare returned to competition today (July 17, 2015) in Monaco in the 200 meters.
Hesitant to race she however decided to give it a go and despite the fear of aggravating her knee Blessing put up a valiant effort albeit she got disqualified for running in the wrong lane upon coming into the homestretch of the 200 meters.
She was clocked at 22.25 seconds before the decision to disqualify her came down.
Despite the debacle and unfortunate circumstances Blessing is looking forward to rebound from a disappointing effort in Monaco when she races again in London next week on July 24th 2015.
