Mohamed Benson Bawoh
Former Sierra Leone volleyball player, Mohamed Benson Bawoh registered his name in the game’s history book after becoming the first Sierra Leonean referee invited to officiate in the All African Games finals between Angola and Mozambique.
Bawoh was one of the three referees who officiated the said match as Angola defeated Mozambique 2-0 (21-18, 21-18).

Besides the grand-final, Bawoh also officiated in several other matches during the competition including the first semi-finals between South Africa and Tunisia, the second semis between Mozambique and Rwanda, the bronze medal clash between South Africa and Rwanda.
Since 2012 after he completed his international Volleyball course he has been considered by the continental body as a potential referees and has attended many seminars for referees held at continental level.
